A space to nourish our soul from a christocentric and trinitarian theological stance. Space to come and just be. No agenda. Just rest by being in God's presence and bask in His holiness that is provided no matter what we did or didn't do. It is a time to embrace his unconditional love and grace.
Quote of the Week
Even if your world feels dark right now, the darkness has not and never will overcome the light! (Sadie Robertson Huff)
Ephesians 1:17-19
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy poeple, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.
Devotional Thought
Paul's prayer focuses on two things. That we may know God, and that we may know hope. He is not praying that we would know more about God, but that we would know God more. As in any relationship, we can know someone but love spurs us on to know them more and that must be intentional. As we draw closer to God and experience him more, we can then know hope. Our hope comes from knowing God and trusting him. The more we know God, the more we know his love and the more hope we have regardless of our circumstances.
Soul Impact
When we don't spend time in God's presence, our hope diminishes. Doing for God is not the same as being with God. God wants our time and attention. As we experience him, we grow in our love and hope, for it comes from him.
